Position Summary:?? The VP, Business Development Officer (BDO) represents TriumphPay, and their primary responsibility via their own direct efforts, collaboration with existing channel partnerships, and in partnership with TriumphPay’s marketing team.? The secondary responsibility is client retention and the BDO is expected to demonstrate the highest level of sales and professional abilities to ensure accuracy and precision of the sales and client retention process.? The BDO will earn commission based on the revenue generated by the accounts they close.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Meets or exceeds assigned sales quota on a consistent basis.
Responsible for positioning and selling the TriumphPay Payments Network set of solutions to prospective TriumphPay Shipper customers. Typical Shipper customers will spend $50 million - $1 billion+, annually, on global logistics expenses.
Responsible for developing account strategies within complex enterprise accounts with multiple senior level stakeholders, executing on those strategies to drive sales success in a timely manner.
Responsible for maintaining a relationship with clients to ensure their retention during competitive pressures and during contract renewal periods.
Responsible for pricing new business to meet yield targets as well as pricing existing clients for growth, retention and to combat competitive pressures.?
Leads collaborative sales process:
Makes direct contact, or coordinates with channel partners, to gain access to prospective customers to determine needs.
Conducts initial due diligence on prospective customers; coordinating with TriumphPay supporting team members and channel partner teams, to present solutions and persuade customers.
Leads the deal closure process, coordinating with TriumphPay underwriting, legal and executive teams to drive timely closure of new business.
Makes direct contact with prospective customers via leads generated through the BDO’s referral sources, channel partners, and internal marketing efforts.
Provides constructive feedback to TriumphPay product and delivery teams regarding customer feedback, market changes and competitive landscape.
Ensures uniformity of message across the product line, but also suggests new approaches when market conditions change or when competitors use new tactics.
Uses customer relationship management (CRM) technology to maintain database of customer contacts and referral sources along with appropriate notes and data.
Generates and provides various sales reports to management.
Other duties are included, as assigned by the manager, according to the needs of the sales group and management.
Experience and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business.?Experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
5+ years of direct outside sales experience in B2B software or financial services businesses successfully selling to Fortune 1000 enterprises.
Understanding and experience selling solutions targeting multiple enterprise stakeholders across finance, supply chain, treasury, and procurement strongly desired.
Experience selling working capital or supply chain finance solutions will be very helpful, but not explicitly required.
Working knowledge of financial accounting and corporate finance principles.
Skills and Abilities Required:

Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
