Job Description
Position Summary:
As VP of Advisory Services, you are responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing strategic programs and projects across TriumphX ensuring the successful "end-to-end" delivery of programs and projects for TriumphX and our customers. You are responsible for aligning the people, processes, measurements, standards, and efforts across the advisory service delivery chain including product, design, engineering, finance and marketing. Advisory Services is deployed when a line of business needs to supplement its capabilities and resources to plan and execute key initiatives and when the enterprise seeks to establish an appropriate level of transparency and governance around key strategic initiatives.
You will seek productive relationships among key business leaders to achieve high levels of collaboration across the enterprise to deliver projects on-time and within budget. You will understand and effectively navigate matrixed organizational structures.
You are responsible for driving best practices for assessing, advising, and executing significant corporate initiatives. You will establish key practices regarding program design, execution, and governance for the entire project life cycle (intake to completion), while maintaining appropriate flexibility to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. While appropriate levels of planning are crucial for executing large-scale initiatives, advisory services’ practices will focus most heavily on delivering intended project outcomes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: provide exceptional thought leadership to support improved operations and strategies for the organization.
Customer Outcome Focus: drive a customer-centric culture focused on placing outcomes and strong value propositions at the forefront of all advisory services activities.
Technical Capability: translate difficult technical requirements to business stakeholders and executives.
Team Leadership: attract, engage, and empower truly great people; set clear priorities and responsibilities to achieve them.
Superior Change Management: communicate clearly, work practically, and do challenging work well with speed and urgency.
Organizational Influence: be a practical, collaborative, and influential figure within the firm, working across businesses and functions. Invest time and resources to establish strong relationships. Operate comfortably in a complex "matrix" environment.
Budget/Time Management: build out people capacity management and budget management by project while working closely with finance teams.
Ethics: drive an ethical culture, earning the confidence of the advisory services key stakeholders.
Experience & Education:
The successful candidate will possess business operations experience and skills, analytical and critical thinking skills, and attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess the following:
Master of Business Administration (MBA) or comparable post-graduate academic training preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or comparable academic training in Business, Management Information Systems or related field.
12 or more years of project management experience with 8 of those years having progressive leadership responsibilities, owning program management of significant initiatives and transformation engagements.
Must possess a combination of company/industry knowledge and core program management skills.
Additional expertise in one or more key practice areas such as strategic/business planning and performance measurement, process management or organizational effectiveness/development preferred.
Experience managing P&Ls, budgets, and capacity of multiple teams, which may include burndown, utilization, velocity, and quality aspects of the projects.
Facilitation skills, overcoming conflict, team development, and effective interpersonal skills are also highly valuable.
Ability to interface with key C-suite stakeholders that include CEO, CFO, CTO and CIO.
