Job Description

Position Summary:

The Financial Analyst will work with the finance team by participating in compensation plan design and administration as well as be involved in the rolling forecast process, strategic data analysis, and research. This role will help build tools and processes to support enterprise wide growth and maintain top tier financial results. This highly visible position will collaborate with business unit leaders to support decision making through the analysis and interpretation of various performance measurements and ad hoc requests.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

As part of the finance team, this candidate will:

  • Partner with the Accounting/Finance departments to enhance and maintain a rolling operational forecast and long-range financial plans.

  • Gather data and business line input to model financial scenarios and projections.

  • Develop reporting solutions for end users, with the focus on creating meaningful self-service reports and dashboards.

  • Perform analysis of results to drive business decisions and improve operating efficiency, increase profitability, reduce risk and refine assumptions for future forecasts.

  • Create and update reporting for senior management and board reporting.

  • Assist in the design of incentive and commission plans through understanding key drivers and the impact of shifts in strategic decisions or economic conditions. Effectively document the plans design for management and participants.

  • Incentive and commission plan administration: calculate incentive and commission plan results on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis as well as produce estimates for accruals. Work with managers and leaders to understand changes and drivers of the results and gain their buy-in for final payment.

  • Assist in the maintenance and regular review of team member data for bonus targets, incentive plans, commission plans, and equity targets.

  • Other duties as assigned or as needed.

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business

  • 1- 3 years of experience in Finance or Accounting

  • Understanding and background in FP&A and reporting solutions

  • Banking or Financial Services experience, preferred

  • CPA, CFA, CMA, or MBA designations, a plus

  • A technical or financial systems background is ideal

  • Adept at Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience with Adaptive Insights or a similar EPM is a plus

  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, OBIEE, etc.) is a plus

  • Previous business administrator duties are a plus
