Job Description
Position summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Technology Officer for Triumph Financial who will lead and oversee all our infrastructure, cloud, network, and technology services. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, network architecture, cloud technologies and development operations (devops and devsecops). They will be responsible for leading a team of diverse IT leaders and professionals and managing and optimizing our organization’s IT, ensuring network stability, providing for resiliency for critical services, and driving the continued adoption of Cloud technologies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategies for the organization’s IT structure, network, and cloud operations.
Lead, manage performance, attract top talent, and develop a team of IT professionals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and our business to identify and implement infrastructure improvements and enhancements to build and maintain resiliency, capacity, and operational excellence to support expected growth to move the business forward.
Leverage engagement skills to drive team performance and resolve challenges to deliver value in capability, cost, timeline, and sustainability.
Collaborate with team members and software vendors to design, implement and test systems.
Create and maintain technology policy and standards.
Responsible for use of services, handling of sensitive data and resolving incidents and requests in compliance with FFIEC regulations.
Evaluate innovative technologies, stay current with advances in technology and contribute to research, evaluation, and decisions for new enterprise technology to benefit Triumph.
Assist the company by continuing to follow FDIC regulations and remaining SOX compliant.
Responsible for vendor selection and management, continually evaluating cost saving measures, and managing the departmental budget.
Analyzes system usage and processes to determine how to optimize return on investment, improve information technology systems, and foster business growth.
Communicates technology status, needs and strategy to EVP, Chief Information Officer, and Executive Leadership Team.
Experience & Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer or software engineering, or information systems; MBA or other master’s level degree a plus.
15 to 20 years of supervisory or management experience in a technology role.
Ten plus years in strategic, firsthand IT experience and skills and experience in multiple roles within IT organizations.
Evidence in establishing successful roadmaps to transform and implement a world-class technology IT department.
Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, resolve capacity constraints to support business and technology objectives.
Strong knowledge and experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex IT systems, including network, telephony, server, storage, and cloud platforms.
Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate, guide and build relationships at all levels of the organization.

The successful candidate will possess IT and business process experience, leadership and management expertise, analytical and critical thinking skills, and mindfulness. Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess the following:
Experience designing and developing IT systems and supporting multi-function IT teams with at least 5 to 10 direct reports and 50 to 100 team members.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to flex communication style with technical and non-technical users; communication can motivate teams, drive organizational alignment, and influence internal and external audiences.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong strategic-thinking, organizational, prioritization and time management skills; initiative-taking and dependable, drive to hit performance targets in a fast-paced environment.
Highly accountable, efficient, and outcome-driven through rigorous execution; ability to work with minimal supervision.
Strong collaborative skills with an ability to effectively communicate with both technical teams and non-technical business users/leaders.
Strong and focused leader, collaborator and consensus builder.
Adaptable, flexible, and possess the ability to sift through details quickly and determine what’s important.
Ability to work in an ambiguous environment; strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
