Job Description
Position summary: TriumphPay is the logistics industry’s ultimate payment processing tool. TriumphPay allows brokers and shippers to completely outsource their payments process, increase their revenue and drive carrier loyalty. The Credit & Underwriting function at TriumphPay serves to mitigate potential credit risks across the portfolio through the processing and documentation of new relationships as well as monitoring of existing exposures.
TriumphPay is hiring a Credit Analyst that will be responsible for processing new applications, preparing contracts, setting up accounts and reviewing existing accounts. The Credit Analyst position will require a high degree of organization, attention to detail and initiative. A qualified applicant must also demonstrate a firm understanding of financial statements and credit risk.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Process applications for credit through the review of financial statements, use of mercantile credit reports, public information databases, and backgrounds searches.
Evaluate business structures and determine contract structure required.
Assist in the preparation of written credit proposals and presentations to various credit committees.
Ensures existing credit relationships adhere to loan covenants and conditions and that required information is obtained in a timely manner.
Reviews incoming financial statements on existing customers, updating financial spreads and communicating any concerns with management.
Ensures that all transactions either conform to the Loan Policy or ensure that all policy exceptions are disclosed in credit proposal.
Prepare written analysis of current and prospective credit exposures.
Maintain, communicate and follow-up with Operations and Sales regarding pending/missing items.
Other duties, as assigned.
Experience & Education
Bachelor's degree is required, with a major in Accounting or Finance preferred
1-2 years’ experience in credit analysis or underwriting.
Experience in transportation industry is a plus.
Skills & Abilities Required
Ability to read and interpret financial statements.
Problem solving and decision-making skills are essential.
Demonstrate initiative and be able to work independently and as part of the team.
Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong professional communication skills.
